Vader and I are walking the 1.5 mile Go Walkies challenge for the charity Guide Dogs. It will be hard for us with Vader’s missing leg and my M.E. but with walking stick and most likely Vader being carried half way, WE WILL DO IT! We would really appreciate it if you would sponsor us even a small amount and share this post with your friends in the hope we can raise lots for our cause. Thank you very much! - Caroline and Vader - Brave Bull xxxwww.virginmoneygiving.com/VaderforGuideDogs

As most of you will know, The Family French consists of three Frenchies, one very handsome rescue pooch (Vader), and two (Yoda and Leia) which we have had from 8 weeks old as puppies. The week of the 8th - 15th of September marks the PAW - Puppy Awareness Week and we are proud supporters of the Kennel Club’s campaign. Take a look at the video with this link to find out more about PAW.

During Puppy Awareness Week (PAW) we will be celebrating the joy that puppies bring to our lives while also providing potential puppy owners information about the responsible way to buy a puppy.

Throughout PAW we will be encouraging potential puppy owners to always buy a puppy from a Kennel Club Assured Breeder or seek advice from a Breed Club and to never buy from a puppy farm.

A recent survey conducted by Atomik for the Kennel Club has found that 25% of people could have a puppy farmed pup. Puppies on puppy farms are kept in horrific, overcrowded conditions and often have diseases that can result in expensive veterinary treatment or even death.

We are pleased to tell you that Yoda and Leia were responsibly sourced via the Kennel Club and our breeders are both one in a million. We put the effort into looking for our pups and we have been rewarded in their time with us with happy, healthy dogs!

To support PAW you can do several things:

·        For anyone in the London area they can come along to Pup Aid which is a fun day out that also helps raise awareness about the UK’s cruel puppy farming trade. http://www.pupaid.org/

·        ‘Like’ the KC facebook page to keep up to date with all the Puppy Awareness Week news! http://www.facebook.com/Kclovesdogs

·        Spread the word on social media.

·        Change Facebook picture to the PAW logo (logo attached)

·        Use our Twibbon to support the campaign - Support Puppy Awareness Week, add a #twibbon now! - http://twb.ly/RGZWOb

There are simple signs to look out for that will help people to sort the good breeders from the bad. In order to help STOP Puppy Farming the Kennel Club is asking people to:

Spot the signs of an irresponsible breeder
Tell the relevant authorities if you suspect a puppy farmer
Opt for a Kennel Club Assured Breeder or rescue dog
Please, spread the word.

We are extremely happy to support the Kennel Club’s PAW campaign and we hope our fans will do too!
